Brothers Lucius and Morris Benoit establish Benoit® Machine & Repair refurbishing boats around Terrebonne Parish, La.

HISTORY
The story begins with two brothers who launched a business during World War II. Morris Benoit, a roustabout and driller for Texaco, and Lucius Benoit, a machinist at Higgins Industries, combined their skills to establish Benoit Machine & Repair in 1943.
They began by refurbishing oilfield supply boats serving operations in Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana. They later purchased a tugboat and delivered equipment through marshes and bayous to remote sites. After 15 years of growth, they acquired larger engine lathes and shifted focus to what Benoit is known for today: threading oilfield rotary connections.
Over the decades, the company grew steadily, incorporated as Benoit Machine, Inc., and expanded into connectors, tubular accessories, and downhole tools. For more than 80 years, Benoit has carried forward the brothers’ legacy of quality and dependability around the world.
